About us

We are the Polish contractors of the PROHEALTH project, which was implemented in 2012 – 2018 by a consortium of 22 entities (12 universities and 10 business entities) and financed under the 7th EU framework program. The research was coordinated by the University of Newcastle (UK). The PROHEALTH project started on December 17, 2013 during a partner meeting at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne in England and ended with a working summary at the Conference that took place on 27-28 November 2018 at the University of Gent (Belgium). The project aimed to deepen understanding of the multifactorial dimensions of animal pathology related to production intensification. The obtained research results were used to develop effective management and health control strategies for pig and poultry herds. Poland’s representative in the PROHEALTH Consortium was the Department of Veterinary Pathology and Diagnostics of the Faculty / Institute of Veterinary Medicine at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences. The WULS-SGGW team led by Prof. dr. hab. Piotr Szeleszczuk consisted of 25 members. Read more link https://cordis.europa.eu/project/id/613574
